What is it?

ClaroRead helps professionals to be more confident, independent and productive learners by providing an effective suite of reading and writing tools.

Key features

• Text to speech in Word, PDFs, web pages and any on-screen text, with around 80 voices in 30 languages
• Word and sentence highlighting that follows along as text is read aloud
• Scanning and OCR to turn paper documents and images into accessible PDF and Word files
• Word prediction that learns as you type, with phonetic and subject-specific suggestions
• Spellchecking designed for dyslexia, including phonetic spelling and homophone support, plus a speaking dictionary
• Dictation through Dragon speech recognition, with your words read back so you can check them
• Screen tools including a reading ruler, colour tinting and overlays

Who it’s for

ClaroRead is used by people with dyslexia and other reading and writing difficulties. At work it helps with reading long documents, proofing emails and reports, and turning paper documents into something you can listen to or edit.

We offer Technical Training for ClaroRead. It can be recommended as part of a workplace needs assessment, and if it appears in your Access to Work report you can upload the report for a same-day quote.
